The Challenge

Tarraroo Rodeo Company, organiser of the Whittlesea Pro Rodeo, initially requested 18 security guards for the event. However, when the ISG supervisor arrived on-site, it was quickly discovered that an incorrect number of guards had been ordered, leaving a critical gap in security coverage.

Specifically, the bars were missing the necessary number of guards required by local laws to remain operational. Without this coverage, the bars would have been forced to close, leading to significant revenue loss for the client. This posed a considerable challenge on the day of the event, as the rodeo was set to commence and there was little time to address the staffing shortfall.

Our Solution

In response to the unexpected situation, ISG acted swiftly and decisively. Within a short period, we organised an additional 10 guards, bringing the total to 28 and ensured they were dispatched to the site immediately.

Upon their arrival, we strategically placed the guards in positions that addressed the gaps, particularly focusing on ensuring the bars were adequately covered in compliance with local security regulations. Our team worked closely with the client to determine the most effective deployment of personnel, ensuring all critical areas were secured.

ISG’s on-site leadership ensured that everything was managed smoothly, with Terence personally overseeing the adjustments and maintaining close communication with the event organisers.
